A little about me...

My name is Katelyn Williamson and I am in my second year of the MS in Instructional Technology graduate program at University of South Florida.

I currently work at WellCare Health Plans, Inc. as an Instructional Technology Specialist. This involves testing online modules and curricula for grammar, spelling, and proper functioning. In my role at WellCare, as well as in previous positions, I have gained valuable experience regarding the importance of accessibility in digital media and e-learning.

While our standards and procedures for creating and testing accessible modules are not currently very robust, we are starting to develop these more. Focusing on this topic this semester has helped to inform and enrich our efforts in this area.

I would like to delve deeper into this topic in the future and gain more practical experience using screen readers and  other assistive technologies.
