Artifact
EME 6208 / Spring 2019 / IMA1 Job Aid
For this assignment, I created a job aid for my coworkers to use when performing copy editing duties. This was a need within my department as copy editors, like myself, were low in supply and high in demand, so individuals in other roles were sometimes needed to step in. This job aid provides high-level guidelines and tips that can be used in a just-in-time manner by those who do not regularly perform copy editing functions. I created the aid in Photoshop and exported it as a PNG; however, the version shared here is in PDF format.
S. 2.2.
Using
Candidates implement appropriate educational technologies and processes based on appropriate content pedagogy.
Artifact
EDF 6284 / Summer 2019 / Final Project
This artifact represents 6 weeks of teamwork on a Comprehensive Sexuality Education course for teachers. This course provides teachers with information and resources on how to address various sex ed topics in the classroom. We chose to develop the course in Rise due to the team's familiarity with the program as well as the ease of access, particularly via mobile, for the learners. All team members contributed collaboratively to various parts of the course, including research, brainstorming, front-end analysis, creating lesson content and interactions, and gathering feedback. A particular contribution of mine, however, was the course introduction video.
S. 2.3.
Assessing/Evaluating
Candidates demonstrate an inquiry process that assesses the adequacy of learning and evaluates the instruction and implementation of educational technologies and processes grounded in reflective practice.

S. 2.4.

Candidates manage appropriate technological processes and resources to provide supportive learning communities, create flexible and diverse learning environments, and develop and demonstrate appropriate content pedagogy.

S. 2.5.

Candidates design and select media, technology, and processes that emphasize the diversity of our society as a multicultural community.
Artifact
EME 6347 / Fall 2019 / Final Project
This artifact is a website containing various assignments created throughout the semester about accessibility in eLearning. Throughout the semester, I chose to focus on accessibility of digital media and eLearning because this is a topic that I have engaged with professionally and have developed an interest in. To satisfy both legal and ethical requirements, it is vital that eLearning professionals utilize universal design of learning (UDL) principles and create learning materials that are accessible to everyone, including individuals with various disabilities. While technology can often create barriers for individuals in education, it can also be the solution if we are conscientious of accessibility needs.
